across the pond
A place so picturesque it seems straight out of a fairytale. The cottage at Across the Pond is located on the banks of one of Kerala’s important rivers, which empties out into the vast Vembanad lake. The 18-acre farm is owned and operated by a Keralan family and has been their family home for over a century. The main produce at the farm is fish, followed by coconuts, bananas, and several other fruits and vegetables. The fish here are fed with high-quality feed thereby guaranteeing superior taste, and the farm was recently awarded the ‘best freshwater fish farm’ by the Kerala Government! If you’re interested, the host will gladly teach you all about fish farming and even provide you with fish seeds and feed.
