The property is an ancestral home that is over 120 years old and stands on a 4-acre farm, run by the son and daughter-in-law of the original owners. The property rests beside the backwaters and is surrounded by coconut trees and banana plantations. Large wooden doors, windows, and pillars give the guests an authentic architectural experience of God’s Own Country, with all modern living amenities. The property houses lotus ponds, cows, and the presence of natural water bodies that make fish cultivation possible. The couple who owned the home previously was well known in the surrounding village for their philanthropic endeavours. They started the first English medium school here that just turned 100 years old in 2019. They were also encouraging of the arts and artistic expression since they opened their home to artists, academicians, curators, and the like to use the house as a creative outlet.

The main building surrounding a big open foyer has three rooms and a kitchen. The architecture of the space represents the sculpture, dance, literature, and paintings of traditional Kerala homes. Moreover, the home is designed to keep the interiors cool and comfortable at all times of the year. All rooms have attached bathrooms and air conditioning facilities. Additionally, outside the main house are two cottages, a clubhouse, a swimming pool, and an Ayurvedic massage centre. The massage centre has various packages offered for rejuvenation with a unique monsoon package during the month called Karkidaka. The property is functional all year.
