the space

Restored by two gentlemen who are passionate about creating an oasis at the birthplace of Ashtanga Yoga, this 110-year-old heritage home in the heart of the city, is enough to make Mysore a destination rather than a pitstop. The Manor 1911 is nestled in a quiet neighbourhood with a massive twenty-six thousand square foot garden and a courtyard in the centre of the house. Go on a journey to an era where time wasn’t just a luxury. There are innumerable heritage buildings all around Mysore built by the Maharajahs. These buildings are well maintained and are used for different purposes like govt offices, hotels, courts and research institutes. The vernacular of these buildings reflect the styles of Indo-Sarsenic, Greco-Roman, Hoyasala and European, adding to the beauty of the city and are reminders of the bygone era. These buildings can be identified by the sandalwood colour used to paint the exteriors. Come enjoy the city’s rich heritage while sitting in antique heirloom furnishings enjoying the Mysore paintings and sculpture. Visit us and return to your gated sanctuary where yoga, arts, rest and relaxation are guaranteed.
