Dehradun is a busy tourist destination, so this place has become a bit of an oasis in one of the greenest parts of the area.

Here, the hosts have created what they believe to be the perfect balance between indulgence and oneness with nature. This is a plastic-free zone, and surrounding the cottages, you’ll find wild bouquets of plants grown by the hosts themselves in harmony with the forest.

The home is situated next to a reserve forest. The cabin is a beautiful blend of Indian and more contemporary Western architecture with a special focus on ecologically-aware design. Many of the elements in the construction of the cabin have lived a long life in the host’s ancestral home. They’ve since been upcycled in numerous creative ways. The room has a handcrafted king-size bed along with a beautifully designed contemporary bathroom, a private verandah, a private BBQ area, and a red brick patio that overlooks the surrounding forest.

The hosts have designed the menu with many secret recipes passed down through generations in the family. Enjoy homemade pickles made with ingredients straight from the garden, aged beverages, and hearty home-cooked meals that you can request apart from the complimentary breakfast. If you’re leaning towards veganism, the hosts will be happy to accommodate.
