Surrounded by a fascinating food-forest (which is is dotted with trees, shrubs and plants, fruit-bearing and otherwise, giving shelter and sustenance to innumerable rabbits, squirrels and birds), waterfalls and beaches, the estate offers a wide selection of non-motorised adventures, authentic cultural immersions and genuine, locally produced food that makes for a perfect break from the city life. A celebration of everything ‘nature’ is at the heart of the philosophy of the farmstay and the hosts practice methods of ecological consciousness. Use of areca and plantain leaves plates, locally made and sourced pottery for cooking and storing of potable water, bowls made of coconut shells and wooden spoons are a few green initiatives chosen to being free of single-use plastics. The property truly awakens one to the simple joys of life.
The property offers two heritage suites and four forest view rooms with attached baths. The rooms are tastefully furnished with traditional Warli paintings and art on the laterite walls. The granary which originally existed on the property has been restored into two heritage suites. While both suites are independent, air-conditioned rooms, with separate accesses, sit-outs and bathrooms, they can even be interconnected housing a group of 6 guests. The forest view cottages are located on the edge of the forest leading up to the hills of the Sahyadris with a view of the pool on one side and the forest on the other.
The property offers a variety of mouthwatering experiences through various cuisines like local Malvani food, Goan dishes inspired by neighbouring Portuguese and Konakani influences, North Indian Punjabi food, South Indian food, Western and special dishes for kids. The homemade meals are sourced from local vegetarian and non vegetarian produce mostly from the food forest.
